Privacy Policy

Last updated July 03, 2026

Gernetzke & Associates, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our") operates the website ggernetzke.com (the "Site"). This page explains what information we collect from visitors, why, and what you can do about it. It is written in plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, email greg@ggernetzke.com and we'll clarify or fix it.

1. What We Collect

We keep this to what the Site actually does today:

2. Third-Party Tools We Use

The Site uses a small number of third-party tools to measure traffic and ad performance. Each may set cookies or collect device/browsing information under its own privacy policy:

You can block most of this at the browser level with standard cookie/tracking-protection settings, and both Meta and Google offer their own opt-outs linked above.

3. How We Use It

We use the information above to: respond to inquiries and schedule consultations; measure whether our marketing is working and improve it; and, for anything purchased through Gumroad, fulfill that purchase (Gumroad handles the transaction itself — see below). We do not use anything we collect to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers named on this page (Substack, Meta, Google, and, for purchases, Gumroad) as needed for them to provide the feature described, or as required by law.

Purchases: if you buy a Compass template, Gumroad, Inc. is the merchant of record and processes your payment and billing details directly. Those details go to Gumroad, not to us; see Gumroad's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

We keep information you send us directly (email, call notes) for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and maintain our business relationship, then delete or archive it. We do not control retention for third-party tools listed above — see their policies for that.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you directly (not through a third party like Substack or Gumroad) and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing greg@ggernetzke.com. We'll respond promptly. If you're a California resident, these rights are consistent with the CCPA; we don't sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

7. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for business owners and professionals. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 16.

8. Changes to This Policy

As Compass grows — for example, adding an email-nurture platform or subscription billing — the data we collect will change, and we will update this page (with a new "Last updated" date) before any new collection goes live, not after.
